Guitarist Randy Sloan began his musical journey on the West Coast, performing in rock and Top 40 bands while refining his technique and developing his own distinctive sound. Drawn to the smooth jazz genre, Randy found inspiration in the works of Jeff Golub, Chris Standring, Norman Brown, and other jazz greats.

After relocating to the Dallas, Texas area, Randy quickly made his mark on the local music scene and now performs 15 to 20 shows a month at luxury hotels, wineries, cocktail lounges, and private events. His polished tone, groove-driven playing, and melodic sensibility have earned him a reputation as a standout performer in the region’s music circuit.

In June 2024, Randy released his debut smooth jazz single, “It’s A Vibe,” a captivating collaboration featuring soulful saxophonist Ner De Leon. The track received praise from fans and critics alike, gaining traction on online radio and streaming platforms. He followed up with the sultry ballad “Nightlights,” featuring the expressive piano stylings of Torrey Brown. Together, the two singles have garnered close to 90,000 streams on Spotify and have been featured on multiple online smooth jazz stations.

Continuing his creative momentum, Randy released “Pop’s Bebop!” in spring 2025, a vibrant, groove-forward track highlighting his melodic guitar work alongside Torrey Brown’s trumpet and keyboards.“Pop’s Bebop!” reached #4 on Spain's Smooth Jazz Top 100 chart. He then expanded his sound further with “No Limits,” showcasing a modern, confident approach to smooth jazz guitar. His most recent release, “Flow Motion,” blends silky guitar lines with a contemporary urban groove, capturing the late-night sophistication and musical maturity that define his evolving sound.

With a growing catalog, a distinctive voice on guitar, and a strong presence on the live music circuit, Randy Sloan continues to establish himself as a compelling and forward-moving artist in today’s smooth jazz landscape.
