What do you get when you mix 1930s architecture with a blend of vintage & modern furnishings, warm woods and a touch of metal to spice things up?… A retro living space as interpreted by A Life Designed.
Built in the 1930s, this townhouse sports amazing “bones” and offered the perfect background for A Life Designed’s mix of distressed, vintage pieces appropriate to the era along with some modern elements to keep things from looking too museum-like.
Influences of Art Deco/Bauhaus bump up against a well worn, european leather club chair in the master bedroom. A curved, steel coffee table acts as a balance to the square-edged, tufted couch in the living room, all warmed up by the beautifully time-worn, wood floor.
A work in progress, this space will evolve over time and we will be sure to keep you up-to-date on all of the changes/additions sure to come. (*Note: Like what you see?
