Chicago’s Heritage Bicycles General Store – 1 part coffee shop, 2 parts bike store, 3 parts cool!

Wow! What’s not to like about Heritage Bicycles General Store? From the high-end custom bikes, to tasty Stumptown coffee, these folks have it all figured out.

As a longtime coffee snob and a recent convert to bike power, I was immediately drawn to the Heritage Bicycles General Store concept after stumbling upon their website recently. Located in Chicago, Illinois and the brainchild of owner Michael Salvatore, this warm and inviting shop harkens back to a different era when the local corner store was a community meeting place where folks were encouraged to mingle, socialize and linger.

From the artfully-crafted bicycles, fresh deli food and coffee, to the store decor – a relaxed mix of industrial/bohemian chic, no detail has been overlooked in the creation of this store. Top all of that off with a well-thought out graphics and website presence and you have the perfect example of a well-executed and successful brand experience. Kudos Heritage Bicycles General Store!
