Mansome… Aqua Velva and the art of embracing your ‘inner porn star’.

Let’s face it fellas, as a species, we have officially gone off the rails! The lengths we will go to in hopes of catching the eye of the ladies has now reached epic proportions. This celebration of our inner dandy is put under the comic microscope in the  new documentary Mansome. With Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, Zach Galifianakis and Paul Rudd in the mix, this look into the world of men’s grooming promises to be as humorous as it is insightful. I for one, can’t wait!

When Guitars Come Home to Stay.

This morning, as I sipped my beloved Italian Roast and shook the cobwebs from my head, I was looking at my guitar, (pictured above), when an interesting thought crossed my mind. The guitar can mean  many things to many people – To me it is a trusted friend, keeper of secrets, confidant and tool for expression. Yet sometimes, if they stick around long enough, guitars can also become a treasured fixture or piece of ‘art’ in the home, as much a part of your decor as a favorite worn-in leather chair or sofa. Classified Moto… Creating major ‘man cave mojo’.

It’s probably no secret by now to the readers of A Life Designed that we have a thing for the industrial chic aesthetic and reclaimed objects finding a new and stylish second lease on life. So it should come as no surprise that we were immediately taken by the incredibly hip creations of Richmond Virginia-based Classified Moto. From designing motorcycles that look like they just rolled in off the set of a Mad Max movie by way of a fashion shoot, to the hip and inventive custom furnishings worthy of Bruce Wayne’s bat cave, these guys have it goin’ on.
