Sometimes, the only thing better than a delicious, bold red wine is a delicious, bold red wine found on the cheap!

At an average price of $13-$15 a bottle, Corvidae’s Rook wine certainly more than qualifies.

I was introduced to Rook last summer one sunny afternoon at The Paragon in the Pearl District of Portland. Offered as the house red that weekend, I was not disappointed!

Corvidae’s Rook is a blend of 45% Merlot40% Syrah and 15% Cab Sauv. Not normally a straight Cab drinker, I do enjoy a good blend and for my taste, Rook is the perfect marriage of fruit and packs plenty of ‘weight’… bold and complex.

If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive and delicious red wine to serve with your salmon or steak… give this bold red from Corvidae Wine Company a try.
