New and used fashion plays very well together at Reveille | Fine Clothier in Portland.
On a recent, laid-back Sunday afternoon, the kind of day tailor-made for exploring and window shopping, I stumbled upon Reveille | Fine Clothier and it was love at first sight!
The brainchild of Native Oregonians Jess Carson and Camille Pandian, (above), Reveille is located in the colorful Nob Hill neighborhood of Portland. Reveille offers a hip mix of vintage and carefully curated new clothing all wrapped in a very appealing industrial chic/retro vibe.
The beauty is in the details.
From the retro motorcycle in the front window to the clothing racks fashioned from old, railway luggage carts sporting cast iron wheels, it is abundantly clear the owners paid close attention to detail in creating an engaging and complete ‘brand experience’ when shopping at Reveille.
Reveille sells handcrafted clothing lines, including brands like Rising Sun, Stone Cold Fox and Mister Freedom. I particularly like that, along with a new pair of jeans, you can pick up a one-of-a-kind vintage 1930s bomber jacket… Distressed and aged to absolute perfection.
Shoes, vintage boots, hats and novelties are also available at this unique and thoroughly charming shop. If Jack White doesn’t know about this store already, he should! I half expected him to saunter in at any moment.
A visit to NW 23rd and Reveille should be on the ‘must do’ list of anyone looking to snag unique clothing oozing vintage, urban boho chic style.
